SONIC RANK: Is Sonic Mania the Best 2D Sonic Game?

Sonic Mania is finally here, and it's one of my favorite games of 2017. In fact, it was so good that I decided to revisit every classic Sonic game, and compare them to Sonic Mania. The result is a list I call SONIC RANK, a countdown of the greatest 2D Sonic games of all time.
