Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease in which organs and cells undergo damage initially mediated by tissue-binding autoantibodies and immune complexes. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), also known simply as lupus, is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in many parts of the body. Symptoms vary between people and may be mild to severe. In most patients, autoantibodies are present, or a few years be ore the first clinical symptom appears.

The proposed pathogenic mechanisms of SLE are illustrated in the second slide. SLE Pathogenesis are explained well. Interactions between susceptibility genes and environmental actors result in abnormal immune responses, which vary between different patients. After that Immunopagenesis is explained in detail.

In SLE, biopsies of affected skin show deposition o Ig at the dermal-epidermal junction (DEJ), injury to basal keratinocytes, and inflammation dominated by lymphocytes in the DEJ and around blood vessels and dermal appendages. Clinically unaffected skin may also show Ig deposition at the DEJ. In Lupus nephritis pathology skin biopsy and Renal biopsy are intensively touched.

International Society of Nephrology & Renal Pathology Society says that there are six classifications of Lupus Nephritis, it led towards the explanation of Pathology of Lupus. In Systemic lupus erythematosus guidelines of clinical features are well discussed here too.
