With this, I am not saying that the tires are not important, in fact, it is quite the opposite, they are very important and this is what we are going to discuss now. I have heard many times, even from experienced riders that on a motorcycle trip you need tires that last longer. I am sure that most of you will agree with this, right? But let's see this longevity from a different angle, from the safety perspective. Or maybe I should have asked a different question: Which tires are safer? The model that lasts longer or the one that finishes quickly? Good question, isn't it?

“Pavlin, it doesn't matter what are you going to say after that I will still choose the models that last longer, I have 20,000 miles to cover and I cannot afford to pay for more than one set of tires!” Of course, the tires are not cheap and it is your decision, but let me tell you something:

How much your life cost? Okay, I don't have to be that brutal, I will soft the question a bit: How much will cost you to fix your motorcycle in the case of an accident because of the wrong tires choice? This is also a good question, and I can guess that you don't have the answer, so do I. It might be anything, from a few cents to thousands of dollars.

So maybe the right question should be: How much risk you would like to take? Do you like gambling? Would you like to play Russian roulette with your luck? I personally prefer to stay on the safe side but as many clever people say - No risk, no glory! I hope that you are better than them but let's chat about it. Do you think that formula one pilots or maybe more relevant to the topic, Moto GP riders like the risk? The answer is yes. These high levels of adrenaline keep them alive, right?

I will partly agree that the risk is the salt of life but even so, they always choose the best tires and change them after every race. Why they just don't pick the one the lasts longer and complete the whole season?
