Most people quit a new venture because they mistake early struggle for incompetence. The reality is that the first 100 hours of any new skill aren't meant to produce mastery, they are meant to produce foundation. Expecting elite results from a novice amount of effort is a recipe for burnout. True competency requires time, volume, and the willingness to accept that the initial phase is rarely where the breakthrough happens.
