May 19 The Day Parks Canada Changed the World #ParksCanada #CanadianHistory #NationalParks #Banff

On May 19, 1911, Canada created the Dominion Parks Branch — the organization that would become Parks Canada.

From the Rocky Mountains to national historic sites across the country, this decision helped shape how Canada — and eventually much of the world — thought about protecting nature.

A quiet government decision became a legacy that still surrounds us today.
