One of Leonardo's first pictorial successes was "The Annunciation", in Verrocchio's workshop in Florence. The study of nature and the anatomy of the human body are fundamental aspects in the artistic-scientific development of Da Vinci. How did he arrive to those early masterpieces?

As a young adult, Leonardo arrives in Milan invited by the Duke Ludovico Sforza. He practices several different trades, declaring himself to be an architect, an engineer, a sculptor, a painter and a geographer. As a self-taught person, he studies anatomy and develops inventions on human flight, along with designing machines, theatrical scenery, costumes and parties requested by his master. He paints two revolutionary masterpieces: "Madonna of the Rocks" and "The Dining Hall in which Jesus Christ celebrated the Last Supper with his Disciples". These mark the beginning of painting which captures the moment of physical or spiritual action.
