Dado Blade Set Up on a Table Saw: Step By Step Process

Learn the step by step process for dado blade set up on a Sawstop Table Saw.

Dado cuts are a very popular type of cut in woodworking. A dado is a cross cut made across the wood grain. The cut is made perpendicular to the wood grain, or at a 90 degree angle, which is different than a groove cut (which is cut with, or parallel to the grain).

Dados are often used to join shelves to cabinets. Using a table saw for making dado cuts is a very effective and efficient way.

We go through how to set up a dado blade on a Sawstop table saw, but the process applies no matter what table saw you're using.
