Bluetooth Headphones Connected but No Sound on Android? Fix Media Audio Fast

Do your Bluetooth headphones say connected on Android, but there is still no sound from YouTube, Spotify, music, or videos? This is a common Android audio routing issue, and the fix is often simple.

In this quick guide, I’ll show you the fastest safe steps to fix Bluetooth headphones connected but no sound on Android — including the most important setting: Media Audio.

✅ Step 1: Turn up volume on both phone and headphones
✅ Step 2: Open Android Bluetooth settings
✅ Step 3: Tap the gear icon next to your headphones
✅ Step 4: Turn on Media Audio
✅ Step 5: Check if another Bluetooth device is stealing audio
✅ Step 6: Confirm your headphones are the active audio output
✅ Step 7: Forget / Unpair and reconnect the headphones if needed
✅ Step 8: Close and reopen your media app

⚠️ Tip: Your headphones can be connected for calls only while Media Audio is turned off. That means they look connected, but music and video sound may not play through them.
