LPG consumers have been asked to complete e-KYC by June 30 to continue receiving subsidy benefits.

The Civil Supplies Department has directed LPG users to complete biometric Aadhaar authentication before the deadline. Officials say the exercise is aimed at preventing misuse of subsidies and identifying irregular gas connections.

Consumers can complete e-KYC through oil company mobile apps, at LPG dealerships, or during cylinder delivery where the facility is available.

Authorities have instructed agencies to reach out to pending consumers through calls and SMS alerts, and organise special camps if needed.

Officials have also clarified that LPG cylinder bookings must not be denied to consumers whose e-KYC is still pending.
