Hello friends! Today we'll take a virtual tour of the Saint Joseph Oratory, a national historic site and Canada's largest church. The Oratory is also the highest building in Montreal. You don’t have to be Catholic, or religious at all, to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this huge church on top of Montreal’s Mount Royal mountain( Mont Royal - Fr). Packed with history and topped with one of the world’s biggest domes, it is the largest sanctuary in the world dedicated to St Joseph and at the same time it is the largest church in Canada. St André of Montreal, the monk who took charge of building the oratory in the early 1900’s, is entombed in a special cript inside the church. Visitors can also enjoy the outdoor sculpture garden.
