How to Show Target Range in Excel Line Chart - Excel Tips and Tricks

Learn how to show target range in Excel Line Chart.

In Excel, creating a target range involves specifying a particular set of cells that serve as a reference point for calculations or data analysis. This can be done by selecting a group of cells and naming them to easily reference them later. In Excel VBA, a target range refers to a specific set of cells that a macro or script will operate on, allowing for automation and data manipulation. While Excel doesn't have a specific "range" function, it provides various functions and tools to work with data ranges, such as the SUM, AVERAGE, and COUNT functions. To select a data range in an Excel chart, simply click and drag your cursor over the cells you want to include, or specify the range in the chart data source settings. Creating a fixed range in Excel involves defining a set of cells with static references that do not change, ideal for constant values or data that doesn't evolve. On the other hand, creating a dynamic range chart in Excel entails using features like Tables or named ranges, allowing the chart to automatically update as the underlying data changes, providing a real-time representation of your information.
