Threats to and the Future of Democracy in Brazil, with Dr. Andrew Janusz

The Ohio State University Center for Latin American Studies, Brazil Gateway, and Mershon Center for International Security Studies hosted a virtual talk with guest speaker Andrew Janusz, Assistant Professor of Political Science from the University of Florida. Janusz explored the factors that precipitated the violent January 8th uprising, described how the insurrection in Brasilia unfolded, and discussed the challenges and opportunities it has created for President da Silva and the future of Brazilian democracy.
