Hiker Charged w/ Manslaughter After Unprepared Girlfriend Freezes to Death

On a freezing January night high on the Grossglockner, an inexperienced hiker named Kerstin collapsed just meters below the summit while her experienced partner, Thomas pushed on into the darkness to seek help....

Prosecutors now claim a series of chilling “mistakes” and missing hours turned a routine climb into a crime scene and are charging Thomas with manslaughter as investigators piece together their final movements from phone logs, web cams and haunting photos from the ridge.
