FERMAT’s high precision and powerful floor-type CNC horizontal boring machine with 130 mm spindle, fitted with an automatic stepless head and serviced by a KUKA robotic tool changer, is used across a spectrum of machining applications including milling and turning operations, helical interpolation, inner diameter turning, ID finishing, face turning operation, chamfering operation.

Machine is equipped with two working zones. First is for CNC milling rotary table, boring, threading and second working zone serve for CNC turning including ID and OD turning.

FERMAT’s automatic stepless milling head, UHAmi, has power of 53 kW, torque of 1600 Nm, and micro indexing capabilities of 0.001°/0.001°. FERMAT’s 6-axis high tech robots provide fast and efficient tool changing into several positions, even for heavy tools weighing up to 65 kg, without having to stop machining activities. Air cleaning of tool holders, detection of broken tools, contactless laser tool prove system Renishaw NC4.

CNC machine is equipped with turning Adapter and automatic tool change to CAPTO tool holders. There is kinematics compensation of rotary axes and collision avoidance system.
