A Word With Adam- Katrine Hildyard MP
On this episode of A Word With Adam we sit down with Katrine Hildyard MP to chat about her life and all that she is doing to help improve our community.
Katrine is Shadow Minister for Arts, Shadow Minister for Women and the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Shadow Minister for Child Protection and Shadow Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing, so we feel quite lucky she fit us into her busy schedule!
It was fascinating to hear about all of these different aspects of her life and her desire to implement positive change to help foster a safer and more inclusive community in South Australia.
Katrine talks to us about the importance of the arts and cultivating a strong arts sector in South Australia; we chat about how it felt when she was first elected to Parliament in 2014, and we discuss her work in the mental health sector and why mental health services are so important to her both personally and on a societal level.
We also hear about Katrine's passion in helping amplify and empower the voices of those marginalised in our society, in particular we chat about her work with Pride of the South
Katrine also lets us know what some of her favourite hidden gem locations and activities are in the South; so if you're ever in the Southern Suburbs be sure to check them out!
