What's it like living in Des Moines? Well first off, it's the capital and largest city in Iowa, which is actually in the news for once, since the Iowa Caucus is this week! The weather here has crazy temperature swings and gets very cold with lots of snow and wind but also very hot and humid in the Summer: just like most of the mid-west. It's also, along with Iowa City, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Fargo, and other great plains suburbs, one of the cheapest and best cities to live in America. A lot of people are moving here from California and all over, making Des Moines the fastest growing city in the United States. If the Hawkeye State has a great economy with lots of tech jobs and a low unemployment rate, why shouldn't you live in Des Moines, Iowa?
