Muriwai | Maukatia Bay

Hey team! We are indeed back with another episode from our Muriwai series. in today's episode, we hiked around the cliffs to the other side of the gannet colony rock!

This gave us an incredible perspective on the angle of the tide, as you can see it takes a heavy left direction. Some of the locals informed us that this makes for good surf on calmer days & you can often find a swarm of locals down here after work in summer!

Just down to the right of where we filmed, you can actually gain access to the rocks, where many people fish during the weekend! this is also the location of the infamous Muriwai blowhole!
