✈️ Just 21 feet! Watch Nathan Rehak launch his purpose-built backcountry machine during the Alaska Airmen’s Gathering STOL Demonstration.

🛩️ Aircraft: ANGRY BIRD — a custom CAW-12, built after the legendary PA-12 design
⚙️ Engine: Lycoming O-360 (estimated 200 HP)
🛞 Built for STOL: 35” Bushwheels, leading-edge slats, P-STOL flaps, vortex generators, STOL cuff, extended wings, 6-inch extended gear, 86” Catto prop, and extended control surfaces.

Nathan built ANGRY BIRD in 2022 and flies approximately 200 hours each year, with much of that spent exploring Alaska’s backcountry—landing on glaciers, gravel bars, and even tidal flats for clamming. He’s also a consistent top finisher in Alaska STOL competitions.
