Bitcoin Core Sold Out.This Token Proves It

A year ago, I made a video warning that Bitcoin Core developers were removing OP_RETURN limits to serve corporate interests, not to improve Bitcoin. I wasn't the only one saying it. Ocean Mining said it. Luke Dashjr said it. A huge portion of the community said it. Core pushed the change through anyway.

Now Citrea, the VC-backed company at the center of that controversy, has launched a governance token called CTR. 10 billion supply. $50M+ in institutional liquidity. Coinbase is evaluating it for listing. It sits on top of a full DeFi ecosystem built on Bitcoin's block space: staking, yield, stablecoins, DAOs, altcoin exchanges.

This is what the op_return fight was really about.

In this video I walk through the full timeline, from the original pull request and the GitHub bans, to the mainnet launch, to this week's token announcement. I also get into why this matters beyond Citrea, what it tells us about the state of Bitcoin Core development, and what you can do about it.
