10 TIPS TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL COVERS BAND / MAKE MONEY AS A MUSICIAN

How can you earn money as a musician? What's the best way to build a successful covers band and earn money through your passion?

As a founder of DK Music Management where we build commercial bands and help musicians find paid work, also a director of Warble Entertainment agency and as a working musician of over 20 years and in excess of 1500 gigs I feel more than qualified to help with this question.

If you are going to build a band to make money especially if you're looking at getting gigs at weddings or corporate parties then it's important to note that this is a business first. I also want to point out that the reason why I was able to be a part of building BIMM was because I knew how to build and run a successful working covers band. If you think of this as a business and prioritise the right things then you can not only avoid the j.o.b word but also build your career as a musician from the bottom upwards!
