Melina Najjar- Flamenco dance Farruca with Yazan Ibrahim

The flamenco is a visual poem as each movement and gesture expresses a feeling or a idea. The purity of the dance gives us a unique expression by it’s rhythm. For this reason, I have chosen the Farruca dance to be my first artistic expression after many years of flamenco studies.
Originally, the Farruca dance was a male dance, but the connection between the foot and the ground blender the gender. one of the beautiful things in flamenco is that you become one with your old roots, with your true identity, without any differences between race, religion and gender.
Many of these dance moves were inspired by my Maestro Angel Atienza at his brilliant school Ados in Sevilla Spain.
