How to Change Default Font in Google Docs (Set Permanent)

[excitedly] Hey everybody!, [short pause] today we are going to learn how to change the default font in Google Docs so every new document starts with your preferred style.
[pause]
First, open a new Google Doc.
[pause]
Click the Font menu in the toolbar and select the font you want as your default.
[pause]
Adjust the font size, color, and any other formatting you want to keep.
[pause]
Go to Format, hover over Paragraph styles, select Normal text, then click Update ‘Normal text’ to match.
[pause]
Next, go back to Format, hover over Paragraph styles, click Options, and choose Save as my default styles.
[pause]
Now every new document will automatically use your chosen font and formatting.
[pause]
