Mississippi River Source to Gulf (Kayaking Across America)

You can boat down the entire Mississippi River? This video is more than a day dream. I guarantee someone watching this video will be inspired to experience a part of the Mississippi for themselves, either by canoe, kayak, paddle board, or power boat. For everyone else this video should change your perception about what the Mississippi River is, and how it can be experienced.

In 2022 I paddled a kayak from the headwaters in Itasca State Park, Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico, where the River exits South Pass in Louisiana.

This adventure took me about twice as long as I originally anticipated and there were a ton of surprises along the way. For example, I got most of my gear stolen before I even reached Minneapolis... but everything worked out okay in the end.
