World Athletics Masters Indoor Championship I Francis Kipkoech smashes the 3000m world record M50

The World Athletics Masters 5000m champion Francis Kipkoech Bowen won the second gold for Kenya when he smashed the 3000m world indoor record in the M50 category in the ongoing championship in the USA. Bowen took the lead from the start to stop the clock at 8 minutes 36.23 seconds. The silver medal went to American Gregory Mitchell who timed 9 minutes 07.85 seconds with the bronze going to Frenchman Santiago De La Fuente Martin.
