Ann Widdecombe: I've never had the NHS Covid app

Ann Widdecombe says the Government has “succeeded in scaring people rigid”, making the public “prisoners of their own fear.”

The former MP and MEP added: “The whole pingdemic thing has become an incredibly damaging nonsense. I never had this app… very glad I didn’t!”

Ann also says the 3% pay rise for NHS workers will "have to be paid back."

"You wouldn’t have come out of the Blitz and said, ‘I want a pay rise, I want a 12% pay rise’.

“We’re in a national emergency and people have got to show restraint.”
