POV: BACKWARDS on Diabelska Pętla — Poland’s 1988 Looping Coaster at Legendia 🎢
We rode Diabelska Pętla at Legendia… BACKWARDS.
Built in 1988, this looping coaster is a true classic — and experiencing it in reverse made it even more intense.
🎢 Ride name: Diabelska Pętla (Devil’s Loop)
📍 Location: Legendia, Poland
If you’re a true roller coaster enthusiast, this one’s for you.
Diabelska Pętla formerly operated as Soopa Loopa @ Lightwater Valley (Ripon, North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom)
Lightwater Valley sold this roller coaster back to the manufacturer, Soquet, who then sold it to Granada Theme Parks who placed it at American Adventure as the "Iron Wolf".
In 1998 the ride was renamed "Twin Looper" due to the Gladiators being copyrighted to Granada, who had by this point sold the park to John Broome's (mastermind of Alton Towers) Ventureworld Ltd.
In 2003, the ride was renamed and repainted again, this time to "JCB Twin Looper", to tie in with the nearby JCB World attraction. The JCB sponsorship ended in 2005 and the JCB was removed from the ride's name and the surrounding JCB World has become "Digger Depot".
In 2007 the roller coaster got relocated to Legendia in Chorzów, making it the first roller coaster with inversions in Poland.
An additional attraction is the penultimate row of seats, which faces backwards. During the ride, the speed reaches 70 km/h, while the overload up to 3 g. The coaster is available to park guests aged 10 and over and 140 cm tall.
