Surely a component like this shouldn't be failing after 65k miles ??
it's sited in full exposure of the elements, under the bottom of the windscreen near the washers.. So not surprising it failed. Silly place to put an electronic module if you ask me !!

It was particularly refreshing dealing with this customer, as no sooner had the engine management light come on, she was on the phone to us to diagnose and fix whatever the issue was.
When we first started the engine it was sluggish to start and smelt sooty. I can l of this story - if the engine light comes on, it's for a reason. Don't ignore it or it will likely cost you more in the longer term.

PS I can confirm that after the replacement of the glow plug control module, the car started on the button, and after a test drive, all seems to be fine 👌👌
