Secret Lives of New York Cats

A new, short documentary film detailing my experience as a New York City cat sitter, starring dozens of colorful cats ... when their owners weren't around!

In 2014 I took a part-time job as a cat sitter in Manhattan. Visiting the cats was pleasant enough, and as a videographer I saw an opportunity to tell their story. But the fascinating thing was how people live in the Big Apple, even though they were never around when I was there. Combining pics and videos from my iPhone with footage shot from a GoPro strapped on my forehead, this short film peers in to New Yorker's apartments and the cats who live in them - from 5th Avenue penthouses to Lower East Side tenements.

I also composed and recorded a soundtrack of original music, and act as narrator on the film. So it's also my story as a musician and filmmaker who, like many artists, takes a side job that becomes an amazing New York adventure!
