संस्कृत का शाब्दिक अर्थ है कुछ ऐसा जो संगठित है। मानव जाति की सबसे पुरातन भाषाओं में से एक, संस्कृत का विज्ञान और प्रभुत्व ऐसा है कि नासा के शोधकर्ताओं के अनुसार, उपयोग करने के लिए संस्कृत सबसे अच्छी भाषा है; और इसे आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस जैसे जटिल क्षेत्रों के लिए भी सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त माना गया है, जिनमें कंप्यूटर की रचना इस प्रकार की जाती है कि वे मानव आदेशों पर बिना निर्भर हुए स्वयं के लिए खुद ही सोच सकें|

'सभी भाषाओं की जननी ' के रूप में जानी जाने वाली संस्कृत भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की प्रमुख शास्त्रीय भाषा है और भारत की 22 आधिकारिक भाषाओं में से एक है। यह हिंदू धर्म, बौद्ध धर्म और जैन धर्म की प्रचलित भाषा भी है।

आज यह भारत की 22 अनुसूचित भाषाओं में से एक के रूप में सूचीबद्ध है और उत्तराखंड राज्य की एक आधिकारिक भाषा है। सबसे पुरानी इंडो-यूरोपीय भाषाओं में से एक, जिसके लिए पर्याप्त लिखित प्रमाण उपलब्ध हैं, संस्कृत का भारत-यूरोपीय अध्ययनों में प्रमुख स्थान है।

Sanskrit (संस्कृत) literally means something that is organised. One of the oldest languages of the humankind, the science and power of sanskrit is such that according to researchers at NASA, Sanskrit is the finest language to be used and considered fit for complex fields like Artificial Intelligence where computers can be literally designed in such a way that they can think for themselves and not have to be completely dependent on human commands.

Known as ‘the mother of all languages,’ Sanskrit is the dominant classical language of the Indian subcontinent and one of the 22 official languages of India. It is also the liturgical language of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Today it is listed as one of the 22 scheduled languages of India and is an official language of the state of Uttarakhand. As one of the oldest Indo-European languages for which substantial written documentation exists, Sanskrit holds a prominent position in Indo-European studies.
