Understanding the Spring4Shell Vulnerability

The Spring Framework is a big player in the Java ecosystem. In early 2022, the Spring team announced a major vulnerability that impacted its framework. One of the first vendors to offer detection and remediation automation for this vulnerability is Snyk. The Spring team later released a patch to help fix the problem. In this video, Full Stack Engineering Manager, Wesley Fuchter, takes us through what Spring is, how the Spring vulnerability happened & why, as well as how to prevent it.
