MIGHTY EMPIRES (Games Workshop, 1990)

...Warhammer Fantasy Battles was completely optional to have / play / care about in this surprisingly compact (for Games Workshop) and rules-dense yet seemingly approachable vintage wargame played atop a modular hex map.

We'll probably "Will it HeroQuest?" later. For now, I wonder if you can be as sold on it as I was -- despite me being so adamant before that I would probably never cross into wargame territory.
