Historical Overview of Wickliffe Mounds: A Talk Given by Carla Hildebrand

A presentation by Carla Hildebrand, the park manager of the Wickliffe Mounds State Park, to the Jackson Purchase Historical Society on May 21, 2022. Carla’s presentation addressed the occupation of the site by the Mississippian culture of Native Americans, the American Revolution, the Lewis and Clark expedition, the Trail of Tears, and the development of the site as a tourist attraction in the 20th century.
