Marsala and Saline della Laguna, Italy in 4K (UHD) HDR

#Marsala is a city in the west of the island of #Sicily. It was founded by the Carthaginians in 396 BC and bore the name #Lilebey.
It was here that on May 11, 1860, Giuseppe Garibaldi landed with his Thousand Expedition and began a military campaign against the Bourbons for the liberation of Sicily.
Marasala is known primarily for the production of wine, which the British organized here in the 18th century.
#Saline della Laguna is one of the many saltworks located on the coast of Sicily between the cities of Trapani and Marsala.
Salt trades in these places are among the oldest in Europe.
