How to remove your lift & turn tub stopper

This delta shower has a lift and turn tub stopper. The top screw does come off but there’s nothing to unscrew and there’s no screw on the shaft of the stopper. For this style, you have to keep the top nut tight and twist it off the shaft with a pair of pliers is what worked for me.
