"We will meet again": Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II gives emotional speech amid coronavirus crisis

The Queen rallied the nation tonight urging the British public all to remain “resolute and united” in the battle to overcome the coronavirus pandemic.

In her historic televised addresses Her Majesty praised NHS workers, care workers and essential workers for answering the call during “increasingly challenging time”.

And she praised those who are staying at home for helping to “protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones.”

The recorded address – filmed at Windsor Castle – was aired at 8pm and was watched by millions across the UK and Commonwealth.
