Turkish Iron Dessert Recipe —Similar to Rosettes | It's a crispy sweet treat with chocolate sauce!🍫
Iron Dessert (Demir Tatlısı)
Servings: 8-10

Prep time: 15 minutes
For the batter;
1 cup all-purpose flour
1+1/5 cup plain yogurt
3 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
For frying;
700-800 ml sunflower oil
Rosette Irons or cookie molds
To Serve;
Chocolate sauce, 60 g milk chocolate + 100 g crème (36% fat)
Sauce from 60 g white chocolate + 100 g crème (36% fat)
Pistachio
Powdered sugar
Tahini and molasses mixture, 2 tablespoon each or adjust to your taste.
• To prepare the batter, mix the flour, yogurt, eggs, baking powder, salt in a bowl and beat until smooth.
• Heat the oil to 160-170°C (320-338°F) in a wide and shallow pan.
• Heat the irons in hot oil. Lift the iron and shake of excess oil. Dip the iron in batter to 1/4 inch from the top of the iron, then dip the iron immediately into hot oil. When you keep it in oil for a short time, the batter will release the mold. You can take it off with o fork if it sticks.
• Fry until golden and transfer on wire racks.
• To make chocolate and white sauce, heat the cream, remove it from the heat and stir in chocolate until melted.
• You can serve these beautiful rosettes with a combine of chocolate sauces, pistachio powder, tahini and molasses or just powdered sugar. It’s up to your creativity! Enjoy 😊
