Artist's Eye Review of the Coloring Book: Speaking With Spirits, by Nadiya Vasilkova
This coloring book, I believe, may be the second book put out by the artist, Nadiya Vasilkova, who is from the Altai Mountains in Russia. She has another coloring book (Magic Totem) out in addition to this coloring book, Speaking With Spirits.
This this coloring book, Nadiya still has the elements of 'pointillism' that she primarily had in her other book, but focuses more on the line drawings of artwork. She concentrated on adding many animals (deer, wolves, foxes, birds, rabbits, butterflies), symbols (moon, sun), and some amazingly beautiful flowers and beautiful mandala-style design elements into the drawings. She creates a coloring book that seems to draw elements from around the world, with obvious references to Asia, Japan, Indonesia, and the Maori and Aleute people from the Pacific.
This soft-cover, glue-bound spine book has thin to medium weight paper, and a beautifully colored front and the back cover includes samples of the illustrations inside the book.
The drawings in this book easily range from beginners level, to intermediate settings, and to the more complicated images for those who like details in their designs.
I would say that the coloring book would definitely be on the 'must buy' book list for coloring hobbyists.
The book is available from Amazon at this link: http://amzn.to/2dcLft9
