Use Canva Sheets and bulk create to make a lot of social media images in one go

This is very useful for the busy novelist. So if you know anyone who’ll find it useful, please tell them about it.
Canva now has spreadsheets. It’s very nice to have, but I don’t think we’re all going to abandon Excel and Google Sheets and rush over to use the Canva alternative just yet.

The place where Canva sheets come into its own is if your making something that involves a spreadsheet and images. The best example I could think of for this was making social media images for a new book.

In this video I walk through an example of how I pulled some reviews off Amazon, got the Canva AI to take quotable snippets out of them (which it did with varying degrees of success), paired each quote up with a different image and got it all made into several different social media images all in the space of about half an hour.

I also asked Canva’s AI to translate some of my quotes in Sinhalese (I can still read it), which it did. The translation was pretty good, but very literal.
