🔬 Fungi on microscope optics - what one could do against them | Amateur Microscopy

At high humidity fungi can start to grow on the optical surfaces. This might be difficult to deal with.
I give some advice about microscope maintenance and cleaning of the microscope optics.

Word of warning, though: Air conditioners also dry the air, so moving the microscope generally to a humid environment is also not a solution, however. If the AC is off and no humid air is allowed to enter, then this is maybe the best solution.
