Van Cleef & Arpels - Making-of the Vintage Alhambra collection in bois d'amourette

Van Cleef & Arpels introduces a very special natural material into its iconic Alhambra collection: bois d’amourette (letter wood). This exceptional and rare wood, with its flecked pattern and reddish highlights, is said to bring good luck.
As part of its effort to support rare and traditional craftsmanship, Van Cleef & Arpels chose a passionate cabinet-maker and inlayer to help create this collection.
More than 14 steps are required to craft the bois d'amourette motifs, that will be set in their pink gold pearled setting.
The cabinet-maker and the stone-setter know-how come together in the creation of the Vintage Alhambra in bois d'amourette collection, a true celebration of "métiers d'arts".
