The Making Of Moon Knight
Moon Knight provided us with awesome action, unique characters, and great visuals. Everyone gave it their all into creating the show, and their efforts show up on screen. Oscar Isaac delivered an amazing performance and Steven Grant and Mark Spector. And Ethan Hawke gave a powerful performance as the flawed villain Arthur Harrow. So how did this show come together? Let's take a look behind the scenes to appreciate all the work that went into Moon Knight.
Recreating ancient Egypt and all of the culture that comes with it was no easy task. They had tons of artists and crew members that helped build and paint the sets. One set was so big it took up 5 blocks! And it also had over 200 extras on set for filming. Another set had over 140 pieces of artifacts that the crew made from scratch to replicate the Egyptian section of the British Museum. There is so much detail that went into these sets that you don't even get to see all of it on screen. That's true dedication to your craft!
The blend of CGI and practical effects is a big reason why Moon Knight looks as incredible as it does. Most of the sets and costumes were completely practical, which helped the VFX team reference something real when they did have to animate sequences. Creating the sets and costumes from scratch gave the crew freedom to be creative. The creation of both Moon Knight suits was a collaboration that resulted in what we saw on screen.
