The Challenger is a British tier 7 turreted tank destroyer.

Created in 1942 based on the extended chassis of the Cromwell. One definite advantage of the new vehicle was its 17-pounder gun, which was the most powerful British gun at that time. This allowed the tank destroyer to effectively hit the enemy at distances up to 1,000 meters. However, the vehicle had a large silhouette and the chassis was overloaded. A total of about 200 vehicles were built.

It is often called one of the worst tier 7 tank Destroyers, although in actuality, once you are past the first gun and turret, it becomes a reasonable competitive vehicle as long as you play on a map with ample concealment. Under the right circumstances it can be used as either a sniper, or a flanker, though it is not ideal in either role.
