12th December 2025 marked the completion of railway electrification project between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, the capital of southern state of Johor

With the distance of 360 km, Johor Bahru is the last major city in the mainline KTMB to be connected with ETS

With 27 km distance between Johor Bahru and Central Business District (CBD) of Singapore, the completion of ETS benefits the cross-border travel between Malaysia and Singapore as well.
