Mormons say Jesus is the spirit of brother of Lucifer. Jehovah Witnesses say that Jesus is the archangel Michael; New Agers say Jesus is an avatar or enlightened messenger. Buddha never claimed to be God. Moses never claimed to be Jehovah. Mohammad never claimed to Allah. Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the true and living God. Buddha said I am teacher in search of the truth. Jesus said I am the truth. Confucius said I never claim to be holy.

Jesus said, “Who can convict me of sin”. Mohamed said “Unless God throws his cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope”. Jesus said “Unless you believe in Me, you will die your sins”

“Jesus is is either Lord, Liar or Lunatic. But He can’t just call Him a good teacher”. CS Lewis

So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. Matthew 19:17; Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19

1. Jesus is God!

We know that Jesus was fully human
- He was born (Luke 2:7)
- Growing in stature and wisdom (Luke 2:52)
- Tired and thirsty (John 4:6, John 19:28)
- Human emotions (John 12:27, Matt 26:38, John 11:35)
- He died (Luke 23:46)
- Had a real human body after his resurrection (Luke 24:39, John 20:20,27)

Jesus is the second person of the Trinity
Time = present, past, and future
Matter = solid, liquid, and gas
Space = height, length, and width
Light = source, illumination, and energy
Water = two hydrogen and one oxygen
Atoms = neutrons, protons, and electrones
Fire = fuel, oxygen, and heat

Trinity at Creation (Gen.1:1-3)
Trinity in Gospels (Matt.3:16-17)
Trinity in Great Commission (Matt.28:19)
Trinity in Epistles (2 Cor.13:14)

A PRETZEL has three holes. The first hole is not the second hole, the second hole is not the third hole, but the same dough ties all three holes together.

Jesus said that He was God
“Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God” John 5:18

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8:58

“I and My Father are one.” John 10:30

Jesus forgave sins something only God can do (Luke 5:20)

Jesus accepted worship an equal to the Father (Matt.2:11; Matt.21:9; Matt.28:9)

2. God is good

Who is God?
- Circumstances don’t reveal God
- Tradition does not tell us what God is like
- Looking within does not show God
- Nature is not reflection of God

3. God’s goodness is practical not theoretical

Taste and see (Psalm 34:8)
Goodness leads to repentance (Romans 2:4)
