NAPPA | The whole story - Thank you!

A stranger who became a friend. Thank you Nappa, for teaching us so much and for all the great memories!

How did Nappa came to us?

The idea to go to this auction and buy a horse came up during a time when we were really sad. We have lost our beloved horse Loki some months earlier and after these dark months we finally had the strenght start something knew. We knew, that we needed a change, a new project to give energy into and that will give us joy and energy back.

We have heard about this auction already some years ago, where you can buy a warmblood horse that has grown up without human contact. And sometimes, you need to be spontaneous! Some days before the auction we decided: We will go there and look if a horse catches our eyes. Not a horse for ourselves, but to give him a good start and then find a forever home.

Then we were there and it was so exiting! We saw Nappa just some minutes, but we liked his calm and somehow confident attitude. We also saw that he was extremely social with the other horses - and then we got the chance to buy him!
A horse that we don't know, that we haven't even touched yet!

And a beatiful yourney began... Nappa was the right horse for us, at the right time. And I think, we could give him a beautiful start in the human world also.
Because you couldn't even lead him at the beginning, the challenge was to do as much as possible at liberty. Also all the first rides where without a bridle - and this, with a four years old warmblood stallion.

It was so beautiful to see, how he developed from being super shy and introverted to a confident and playful horse and reliable riding horse. Of course, we also had some challenging moments and when his hormones got stronger as a stallion, it was good for everyone including him, that he has been castrated.

After over half a year, it was time to look for his forever home. We knew, that on the long term he will be super happy with someone, where he can have a stable life, live in a herd and do liberty and go on long outdoor adventures with his human. And luckily, everything turned out fine and he has now found exactly his dream place and human!
