Handmade Marking Gauge

This one is more artsy than instructional, but I think it still conveys the process.
Materials used are Brass, Walnut, Cherry, and steel. The wood was finished with Boiled Linseed Oil, Paste Wax, and Shellac.
The shape of the beam was inspired by an antique marking gauge I once saw.
