One Small Step (Apollo 11) HD

When I was a little boy, I remember my dad coming home early from work one afternoon and turning on the television. I remember the date too -- it was July 20, 1969. I was just 5 years old but I clearly remember everything that happened.

I asked my dad why he was home early and he told me, "This is the best day son that you will ever remember" He was so confident and had a grin a mile wide! "This day son we're going to land a man on the Moon!"

I smiled at him and sat down in front of the TV to watch history unfold. It wasn't long before I looked up and could see a fuzzy image of a man descending a ladder. I knew, even as a kid I just knew, that this was important.

Then, all of a sudden, my dad started jumping up and down with tears rolling down his face saying, "WE DID IT, WE DID IT, WE DID IT!!" He picked me up off the floor with so much joy and dancing. I'll never forget that day and I will never forget seeing Neil Armstrong coming down that ladder to set his foot on the moon.

I made this video because of all those memories from that beautiful day.
