Description: This is an eight part series on how to replace corroded copper plating on a circuit card. For a friend of mine who's the owner of YT Channel Simplethings, Here's a link to his channel.

I used my friends Amiga A501 RAM Expansion Board as an example of how to do this. The battery had leaked and the acid corroded the copper plate off the board. After the repair I installed a battery adapter that allows you to use a modern battery in place of the old style.

In Part 8 I remove the clamp, Tin the Plate, Do a solder lap on the sides, reinstall a Tantalum capacitor and install an after market battery holder and a new battery.
**** The battery adapter is called:Lithium Coin Cell Clock Battery Kit and it can be purchased here: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1093

I hope you learned something in the video and I was able to help you. If you learned something please give me a thumbs up. If you would like to impart some of your knowledge on how this could be done better please leave a comment below.
Thanks for watching.
Best Wishes n Blessings Keith
