Our American Story: Paralympian Jessica Long

Jessica Long is one of the most decorated Paralympic Swimming stars in history. In this documentary produced for Voice of America's Our American Story series, she shares her incredible journey beginning in Bratsk, Siberia where she was adopted at the age of 13 months. Because of fibular hemimelia, her lower legs were amputated when she was 18 months old. Today, she was won over 20 medals in Paralympic events starting in 2004 in Athens. She is now preparing for her fifth and final Paralympic competition slated for 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.
