Unipolarity, New World Order

Uni stands for one and Polarity in international relations is any of the various ways in which power is distributed within the international system. It describes the nature of the international system at any given period of time. If one country has more power than all the other countries of the world and this one power successfully maintains its hegemony in international paradigm then we will say that there is unipolarity in the international system. It is widely believed amongst theorists in international relations that the post–Cold War international system is unipolar as the United States emerged as the super power of the world after the disintegration of the USSR at the end of cold war. As one country has more power than all the other countries of the world so it is called as a unipolar world.
